Lakeway TaeKwonDo sent 14 competitors to this annual tournament in San Antonio. A mix of first-time and experienced competitors, all of our students competed with heart, dignity and class. We are so proud of all of them. 9 Gold, 8 Silver and 7 Bronze.
May 7, 2016 - 2nd Ascend Athlete Sparring Seminar
Hosted by Master Terry Stoker of World Martial Arts Academy in Temple and taught by Master Dong Lee, US National Team Coach. This excellent seminar built upon the skills of the first and continued to teach the latest sparring techniques. With over 50 students in attendance, including a US National Team member, Lakeway TaeKwonDo had the largest group with 13 students. The next in the series is June 18th at HK Taekwondo in Cedar Park and we will be hosting on in the fall.
March 12, 2016 - Ascend Athlete Sparring Seminar
Hosted by Mr. Brad Perkins of Maximum Martial Arts and taught by US National Team Coach Master DS Lee, seven schools from around Central Texas came together to learn the latest training techniques and methods. Participating from Lakeway TaeKwonDo were Master Chris Abramson, Conor A-T, Martin B, Chase A and Kevin C. Everyone gained from the event.

February 11, 2016 - Tina Lessin Hillman earns her Black Belt!
Tina is the first woman and first mom of a Black Belt to earn her own Black belt in Lakeway TaeKwonDo's 13-year existence. Tina has shown a fantastic level of committment and dedication over the years. We are proud to have her join the club of Lakeway TaeKwonDo Black Belts.
