Since Lakeway TaeKwonDo opened its doors in May of 2003, it has taken the health and safety of its members and community seriously. Today, in the time of Covid-19, that has not changed, in fact we’ve added to the precautions. Lakeway TaeKwonDo transitioned to virtual-only on March 22nd and resumed IN-PERSON CLASSES on June 1st (while continuing the virtual program).
What has the school done to insure the students safety? All people entering and exiting the building are required to where a mask and have their temperature taken (not recorded) and hands sprayed with sanitizer. Class sizes are limited so that we can maintain proper distancing throughout and allow students to train without masks (unless the choose). When proper distancing cannot be maintained due to direct interaction and instruction, all involved parties wear a mask. Students bring their own water bottle and time between classes has been extended to allow for cleaning and to minimize interaction between classes. Students must also book each class through the Lakeway TaeKwonDo app to make sure there are spots for each student and to maintain a list in the case of the need to contact after the fact.
To date, Lakeway TaeKwonDo has not had any Covid related situations that required quarantining or notification and we intend to keep it that way! In-Person classes are growing daily and we hope you feel comfortable joining us on the mat. If not, we have a full slate of virtual classes as well.
