I would recommend Lakeway TKD because it teaches you discipline, control, and attention to detail in everything that you learn. Lakeway TKD has the right teachers for learning all the essentials to TaeKwondo.

The instructors here are that very rare combination: masters of their art with the focus, patience, and compassion to teach it to motivated students of any age or skill level. Expectations here are high--as other reviewers note, the only way to progress is to work hard--but humane. Master Chris expects no more from any of his students than the best he knows they can do. My son and I both take classes here--something I always saw in his future but never expected to enter mine. We are both amazed at our progress on the mat. To me it is also clear how much value this disciplined training has in outside life as well. The school has become an important part of our lives. Hard to imagine a better one.

We have been with Master Chris and company for over 4 years now and I can just say the whole team is amazing. Besides the martial curriculum and physical education, a great deal is put into teaching the kids how to earn your life triumphs and actually live the taekwondo tenets. Highly recommend for anyone who is not looking for places which focus solely on competitive taekwondo.

My kiddo has been training at this Taekwondo dojo since November 2023, and I couldn’t be happier with how much they’ve grown both physically and emotionally. From day one, the instructors created a warm and welcoming environment—while still maintaining the discipline and structure that Taekwondo is known for. My kiddo has become more focused at home and at school, and it’s clear they’ve found a passion that truly motivates them.
They look forward to every class, not only because they’re building strength and honing their technique, but also because they’ve found a supportive community of friends and mentors. The masters are firm yet caring, always pushing students to do their best while instilling important life lessons about respect, perseverance, and integrity. It’s wonderful to see these values reflected in my kiddo’s everyday behavior, and I know they’ll carry these lessons with them as they grow older.
If you’re looking for a place where your child can learn martial arts in a positive, encouraging atmosphere, I highly recommend this dojo. They’ve genuinely made a lasting impact on my kiddo’s confidence, focus, and overall well-being.

There are so many options in life and it's hard to know you made the right choice until you're really involved in the activity. From the moment we entered Lakeway TaeKwonDo we knew we were in the right place. The Masters show each child the utmost respect while simultaneously encouraging and challenging them to achieve their goals. They push the students to be their absolute best and show immense patience while teaching 20-30 students of varying skill levels and attention spans. I love not only watching my daughter grow more confident in herself with each class but seeing all of her classmates grow as well.
I could not recommend Lakeway TaeKwonDo enough to anyone considering starting to learn martial arts. You will be treated with respect the moment you step foot on the mat for the first time and that level of respect never falters for one second. You will be challenged, you will grow physically and mentally, and you will cherish the lessons you learn (even if you are learning them vicariously though your child).

I've been at LTD for three months and it has been a wonderful experience. The people are very nice and the instructors are patient and encouraging. They meet you right where you are at any fitness level. They also challenge you to work hard and do your best. Love this school!

What a difference Lakeway TKD has made on our daughter's life! Our daughter has been coming here for about 4 years now. At first we just noticed that she was more disciplined, focused, and patient. Last year, however, our daughter experienced major difficulties in her life from high academic demands, distractions, and peer pressure. Lakeway TKD has come through for her during this challenging times by providing her the strong support, consistent discipline, and genuine care that she needed.
We highly recommend Lakeway TKD to parents with teenagers who are facing similar challenges. They may complain at the beginning about practices but the mind, body, and spirit balance Lakeway TKD provides will last a life time.

Three of our kids started their new chapter here. The facility is clean and fresh. Master Chris and his entire staff are awesome. We are in love with this place and the kids are looking toward for it every day. They do offer after school pick up. So, come to support them if you can.
